Q: What is your role here at Comcast?

A: I am a Senior Business Account Executive for Comcast Business and I’ve been with the company for over four years. On a day-to-day basis, my role entails talking to and building relationships with local, small- to medium-sized business owners to help them implement technology solutions to ensure they stay connected to their customers. By building relationships, it helps me better understand their business and their future goals, in addition to how they work and interact with their customers. This enables me to suggest the best possible suite of tools to meet their needs, whether it’s internet, internet back-up, Wi-Fi, cyber-security solutions, and more.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love that I’m changing the lives of business owners in the communities we serve. Our products and services are a lifeline for our Comcast Business customers. Having a secure and reliable internet connection; crystal-clear, cloud-based phone services and more are crucial to running a successful business. Comcast Business offers it all, a powerful network, advanced technology, 24/7 support, and a local workforce who are invested in supporting our community businesses.

I also enjoy the relationships that come out of working with our customers, which don’t end once I complete a sale. I keep in touch with my customers and help them whenever I can. For instance, a local business mentioned to me that they needed a new sign for their building, and I was able to refer them to a really good sign maker I had met – I love being able to connect people together!

Q: What’s your favorite Comcast Business product and why?

A: I really like Connection Pro. If a business loses power, Connection Pro provides an automatic 4G LTE cellular backup connection that helps keep essential business functioning. That includes systems such as point-of sale, back-office connections, email and cloud-based applications.

I also think our WiFi Pro product, which can help businesses with marketing strategies, can be a game-changer. For instance, a WiFi analytics report will provide the customer with peak times on customer WiFi usage. A café could use that information to decide to offer specials during a specific timeframe to increase their sales.  In addition, a company can promote their social media handle by making it their WiFi name, which is just one example of WiFi Pro’s customizable features.

Q: What can you tell us about Comcast RISE?

A: Comcast RISE stands for “Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment” and I am honored to serve as our regional coordinator. The Comcast RISE program launched in fall of 2020 and provides marketing consultation services and/or technology from Effectv and Comcast Business to small businesses owned by people of color like our region’s Dilligence Training and Give Music, Inc. Since the program started, nearly 70% of all Comcast RISE recipients have been businesses owned by women of color, spurring Comcast to expand eligibility to include all women-owned small businesses beginning this month, which is very exciting.

The nomination period is ongoing and small business owners can visit www.comcastrise.com to apply.

I am so proud to work for a company that is making a commitment to advancing digital equity and helping to provide underrepresented small business owners with access to the digital tools and funding they need to thrive.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of your job?

A: I enjoy spending time with my son and wife. I also love to travel and am a big foodie. If anyone is looking for a hidden gem restaurant, I highly recommend Prime One Eleven in Trumbull, Connecticut. They have the best steak and lobster mac & cheese ever!
