Comcast is proud to announce that Michael Macri, Senior Manager of Xfinity Retail, was recently recognized as a 2021 “40 Under Forty” winner by the Hartford Business Journal. The “40 Under Forty” Awards recognize outstanding young professionals every year in the Greater Hartford area that are excelling in their industries through their leadership.
We sat down with Michael to hear more about what he does for Comcast and how he makes an impact on our employees, our customers, and our community. Read on to find out what he said.
Q: What is your current role and how long have you been with Comcast?
A: I’ve worked for Comcast for almost 15 years and currently serve as a Senior Market Manager of our Xfinity Stores, including our West Hartford, Groton and Waterbury, Connecticut stores and our South Burlington, Vermont store.
Q: What is your favorite part about leading our Xfinity Stores?
A: I absolutely love helping my team create “wow” moments for our customers in our Xfinity Stores and developing plans to continue delivering a truly awesome customer experience. One element that is essential is having the best people in the right roles, such as Amoy from our West Hartford Xfinity Store, who was recently featured on our Comcast New England blog.

Q: What is your favorite Xfinity product?
A: I’m a huge fan of our Xfinity X1 video product. X1 has set the bar for all other video platforms as it brings together various ways I like to watch, from live TV to YouTube, in one easy-to-access place. Not only that. but the simplicity that the Xfinity Voice Remote offers in finding shows across different platforms, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Xfinity on Demand and more, makes watching something great effortless.
Q: What is a current initiative at Comcast that you are most excited about?
A: Comcast puts a lot of focus on the growth and development of our employees, with opportunities such as our Employee Resource Groups. Currently, I am fortunate enough to serve as a lead for our Young Professionals Group.
Q: What do you like to do outside of your role in your free time?
A: I spend most of my free time with my three children and my fiancé, Ashley, either at sporting events or enjoying a day trip somewhere. I’m also a huge sports fan so any chance I get to pick up a baseball or football, I take it!
