Our Voices: Meet Natalie, a Construction Specialist in Vermont

Our Comcast employees live in the communities we serve, and every day they’re making sure our customers have the best products, best network, and best customer experience. Natalie Humphries helps ensure our services are delivered safely and properly to customer homes.

We spoke with Natalie about why she loves her job. Read the following Q&A to find out what she had to say:

Q: Tell us about what you do at Comcast.
A: I’ve been with Comcast for 19 years and currently work in the Construction department as the Utility Coordinator for Vermont and New Hampshire. My main responsibility is to work with our team to get our network into people’s homes and that means sometimes having to coordinate with other utilities to bring our network into new neighborhoods

Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: The people I work with are the best part of my job. I love the relationships I’ve built with my coworkers and peers, both inside and outside of Comcast. My colleagues are like family and that makes coming to work each day a pleasure.

Q: How do you provide a good customer experience in your role?
A: I primarily work behind the scenes to make sure our Construction team can deliver our services to new customers in a timely, safe and proper way. I take pride in helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Q: What is your favorite Comcast product and why?
A: Our Xfinity X1 platform with the Xfinity Voice Remote is by far my favorite product. It allows for a great experience with an easy-to-navigate platform that makes it easy for the whole family to use, even my seven-year-old can use it with ease. Xfinity X1 also aggregates all your programming and apps so you can access content on On-Demand including programming on Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more, even your favorite games, without changing the input.

Q: In what ways do you get involved in your community?
A: Through Comcast, I am the Board Secretary for the Green Mountain Chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). Being a part of SCTE has been rewarding both personally and professionally and has allowed me to develop new skills. Outside of Comcast, I also volunteer as a Four Winds Nature Institute classroom parent, which is so much fun and allows me to get a window into my son’s school life. Additionally, I am the Safety Coach for my son’s little league baseball team.
