Comcast Celebrates 100 Small Businesses with Comcast RISE Grants in Boston
Comcast proudly celebrated 100 small businesses across Greater Boston as part of its nationwide Comcast RISE initiative – empowering entrepreneurs with resources to grow and thrive. The milestone was marked during Comcast RISE Day, an evening of recognition and networking at Big Night Live’s Studio B in Boston, where recipients connected with community partners, local officials and business leaders.
Boston is one of five markets in the nation selected for Comcast RISE in 2025. Each of the 100 businesses is receiving a comprehensive grant package that includes monetary support, technology makeovers powered by Comcast Business, creative production and media schedules from Comcast Advertising, educational resources, and business consultation services.
“The Comcast RISE grant process has been terrific – from the monetary award to the commercial production and airing – these resources will go a long way to supporting my business growth,” said Arc Angel Communications Founder David D’Arcangelo.
The event buzzed with energy as business owners from diverse industries – including restaurants, creative agencies, and tech startups – shared their stories and built connections. Comcast RISE Day was designed to foster collaboration and strengthen the local business community.
“Comcast RISE reflects our commitment to supporting small businesses across the Greater Boston area,” said Carolyne Hannan, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s New England Region. “By empowering 100 small businesses with the tools they need to grow and thrive, we’re helping to strengthen the heart of our neighborhoods and communities.”

Comcast RISE is part of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion initiative to connect people to the internet, provide digital opportunity, and build a future of Unlimited Possibilities. To date, Comcast RISE has provided a total of $160 million in monetary, marketing and technology resources to 14,500 small businesses nationwide.
