Comcast RISE to Support 100 Small Businesses in Greater Boston

Earlier today, Comcast joined with local officials and community partners to announce it will award comprehensive grant packages to 100 small business owners in Greater Boston as part of the Comcast RISE program to support entrepreneurial growth and community investment. Beginning Thursday, May 1, and running through Saturday, May 31, eligible small businesses in Boston can apply for the Comcast RISE program at www.ComcastRISE.com.

Boston is one of five regions across the country in which grant packages will be awarded to 100 local businesses. The additional regions include Grand Rapids, MI; Nashville, TN; Seattle, WA; and South Valley, UT. A total of 100 grants per region, or 500 grants will be announced in August, with these new recipients joining the 14,000 entrepreneurs who have been supported through Comcast RISE since the program launched in 2020.

Each grant package includes a robust array of support, including:

· TECHNOLOGY MAKEOVER – Computer equipment and Internet, Voice, and Cybersecurity services for 12 months. (Taxes and other fees may apply for tech makeover services.)

· CREATIVE PRODUCTION & MEDIA – Professionally produced 30-second TV commercial, plus a media strategy consultation and a 180-day linear media schedule. (Taxes and other fees may apply for production and media services.)

· EDUCATION RESOURCES – 12-month access to online entrepreneurship courses, learning modules and resources for small business owners.

· MONETARY GRANT – $5,000 monetary grant.

· COACHING SESSIONS – Business assessment and coaching that provides business owners with recommendations on how to help grow their businesses.

Previous Comcast RISE winners in the Boston area include Spark FM Online.
