Comcast Turbo-Charges its Network in Falmouth, MA with 2 Gigabit Speeds Now Available to All Customers

On the heels of it increasing Internet speeds to customers across the country, Comcast announced that it’s turbo-charging its next-generation network, with 2 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) download speeds and up to 10x faster upload speeds now available to all customers in Falmouth over the connections already existing in homes and businesses. This speed increase, which is made possible by Comcast’s ongoing investment in its network, paves the way for Comcast to deliver symmetrical multigigabit speeds in the near future.

“Falmouth is a priority for Comcast and our local investment here powers the next-generation Internet experience for our customers today and well into the future,” said Carolyne Hannan, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s New England Region. “Our network is a result of years of investment and innovation that continues to make our network even faster, more reliable, and more secure – all immediate benefits for our Falmouth customers.”

Comcast continues to make significant investments in its network to ensure it delivers all the speed, capacity, reliability and security customers need today, and well into the future. The investments made recently in Falmouth have many added benefits beyond just speed.
